The Exclusive Coastal Barn Wedding Venue in South Devon
The Grain Store is a beautifully restored barn wedding venue in South Devon, set on a coastal farm near Kingsbridge. Spacious, warm, and full of character, it sits at the heart of an exclusive use property that is entirely yours from Friday to Monday.
The barn holds up to 150 seated guests. Its high ceilings, exposed beams, billowing silk draping, and copper bar create a space that feels genuinely special before a single flower has been arranged. Large doors open onto views across the Devon countryside - and when the evening light drops, the room transforms.
As a dry hire venue, you bring your own caterers, your own bar, and your own suppliers. No locked-in menus, no corkage fees. The barn is a blank canvas and you design every detail of it.
Exclusively yours for the weekend
From Friday 3pm until Monday 10am, the whole property is yours. That includes the barn, the seven-bedroom farmhouse, the walled garden, the courtyard, and access to the licensed beach ceremony location at Beesands.
Your closest family and friends can stay in the farmhouse across the whole weekend. Everyone else can find excellent accommodation in Kingsbridge, Salcombe, or Dartmouth - all within 15 to 30 minutes.
If you want extra time to set up the barn, you can access it from the Wednesday before your wedding.
Three licensed ceremony locations
The Grain Store has three licensed spots for civil ceremonies:
- The barn itself - warm, atmospheric, and beautiful in any season
- The farmhouse walled garden - intimate and south-facing
- The beach field at Beesands - open coastal views from Start Point to Dartmouth
Whichever you choose, the barn is where dinner, speeches, and dancing happen. And because the whole venue is exclusively yours, moving between locations - even on the day - is never complicated.
